There were lots of people that were having some problems on the technical side.  But at the same time there are also alot of technical folks here too.  So don't let the technical stuff stop you from getting started.  It is not as scarry as it seems.

Anyways, I had 2 questions about FTPing files today.  No need to go buying anything.  First, if you don't use the firefox web browser, go now to firefox.com and download it.  It is totally free.  The great thing about firefox is it easily is extensible with simple plugins.

After to have firefox started, go to tools then addons.  Click on get addons and search for FireFTP and install it.  You now have a free FTP client installed.  To use it, go to tools and click on FireFTP.

This plugin works on both Mac and PC/  You will need to know the login information for your webhost/domain.  In the upper left hand corner there is a pulldowon box and one of the options is to create a new account, select that option and enter in the details for login there.  Click connect and you will see the files from the webhost on the right and your local hard drive on the left.

To copy a file, find it on your hard drive on the left and find the location on the right where you want to put the file and you can then click the arrow pointing right or drag the file from the left to the right.

This is the free fast and easy way to FTP.  But, if you are using a program like dreamweaver or similar to create web pages, chances are it also has a built in FTP feature.

Post if you have any questions....
